Speedway World Cup - The Run Off

First duty in a little while. As I was on call for the day job I had
to stay off the centre green and mix with the crowd. Got asked about a
wasp sting - could see nothing so reckon it was probably a hover fly
that just scared the bloke. Also got asked about a knee pain whilst
walking through the crowd. Nothing major at all. Was standing close to
the ambulances when two riders fell off. The crew jumped in and
started up just in case. I asked if they wanted a third man on board
and was told to just get in. Woo Hoo!! Seems I have arrived now. All
the sly comments about crewing the wagon if they would train me have
worked. I'm now being put in for my driving assessment with the
Fundamental Care and Ambulance Aid courses I need to be a full crew
member. The Super has mentioned getting out on duties as a third crew
so obviously the message will be getting around.
Anyway i'm out on the centre for Saturday night as strangely we have
had more volunteers for last night - a week night.
