I went to visit DorAmb today to hand my application in for Student EMT. Whilst I was with the HR peeps I thought I'd check on the progress of my application for Control. Unfortunately I found that I'd been unsuccessful. That was a bit gutting as you can imagine. So what do I do now? I'm considering taking an HCA role so that I can get an NVQ 2 or 3 in Care, then looking at getting on to a Nursing course, probably specialising in Critical Care - this will cover A&E, ICU etc. Then I can look at becoming an Emergency Care Practitioner. If DorAmb can't see that they should employ thats their loss. Another iron I have in the fire is a Casualty Care training role at Dorset Fire and Rescue. That would be neat, especially as my bro and my dad are/were fire fighters.

No speedway tonight, too wet. Pity as I'd put myself down to drive. Next week I'll be working control at Steam Fair, unless I invoke plan B and tap up the County Nursing Officer for an HCA type role in the treatment centre....
