Update

Dorset Ambulance and the hospital didn't come through but I've got a
job doing basically the same old thing - IT Support Team Leader - at
the Borough of Poole. I've moved from managing a team of 5 Windows
techies to managing a team of 8 mixed between UNIX/Windows DBAs and a
4 person Web Dev/Support team. I'm really loving it at the moment but
that has probably got a lot to do with the better work life balance.
I've been there for 4 weeks and have already had a day and half
flexitime leave.

As for St John I'm still running the division and have now passed
(officially) my ambulance driving test. I've also just been promoted
to Officer Grade 6 - this means I get to wear one pip and a hat with a
silver barred peak. So now I look even more like a Police inspector in
my black and whites.

Plans for the future - I'm taking A to New York at the end of November
and I'm hoping to take the whole family to London before Christmas.
Five star hotel and all the trimmings.
