Bank Holiday

Just one more day to go. Very early start tomorrow so we get to make the most of York and then Railfest on Wednesday. For C's birthday on Thursday we are going to Alton Towers.

First Real Casualty

So i have finally dealt with my first real casualty. It has only taken 6 months! After the main event on Wednesday they had a group of classic speedway bikes out. All very interesting until the second race when one of the bikes locked up & spat the rider off quite spectacularly. He appeared to just be winded but we offered him a ride back to the pits in the ambulance anyway. By the time practice had finished he was in a lot of pain so we carted him off to A&E under Blues n Twos. Sweet!

Boating

Just sitting outside McDonalds after taking the kids out to one of my friends yacht club. They had a fantastic time.

Rang Abbey yesterday and got the good news that the offer letter has been sent for the new mortgage. So we can get on with our lives on a slightly firmer footing. At St John last night I got most of my backlog of training certificates - all I'm waiting for now is my Emergency Communications. Also volunteered for the Oasis concert here in Poole on the 23rd of June which should be interesting.

Last Nights Speedway

An excellent night of speedway at Wimborne Road last night. Poole came out as easy winners but the races were all pretty close. There was even a punch up in the pits. Just one incident to deal with. Guy came off his bike quite spectacularly and complained of back pain. I got the ambulance rolling but by the time it arrived he was walking back to the pits.

The Latest

Surveyor has been & looked @ the house so now we just have to sit & wait.

The surveyor is coming today to value the house. Lets hope he agrees with us on its value.

The Weekend

Spent most of the weekend on two courses for St John. Did Lifesaver Fractures on Saturday with Lifesaver Babies & Children on Sunday. Pity that C broke her arm on Wednesday before I was trained!
