Ambulance Requalification

Last night was Ambulance Aid requalification. Luckily only two people failed, both in the same test and by the sound of it down to one of them being a bit thick. I had to go back in for a retest due to the AA2 I was paired up with not leading enough in the scenario, and I didn't think it appropriate to intervene myself. As you can imagine when told that we needed to retake to make sure we passed I interevened second time around.

Next thing on the list of annoyances now is the Inspection on the 6th of December.

The Arrival of Santa

Its that time of year again when all the duties seem to involve Santa in some form or another. Yesterday was the arrival of Santa on Poole Quay and then a Santa fun run. Very cold, very well organised. Dealt with one patient who we transported to A&E after she fell onto a kerb, hurting her back. As she was elderly and I didn't really feel 100% about her condition I thought a check up at Casualty was required. Therefore she got a ride in the back of the Trannie. All done in front of a thousand or so onlookers. No pressure ;-)
