Am now at a complete loose end. Handed in my notice on Friday, so I'm not required to turn up at work. However my training with Dorset Ambulance doesn't start till the 24th. Of April. Will need to find something to fill that little gap.

First Point to Point

The first point to point of the year. Hursley Hambleden at Badbury
Rings. All went relatively quietly until the last race. Then a jockey
fell and was trampled by the horse behind. On the head. Luckily for
her the helmet did its job and she managed to walk away. Doctor
cleared her and that was the end of our involvement in that. Excellent
comedy moment when a loose horse ran back and forth across the back of
the circuit. Must have done it 6 or 7 times and then it took 6 people
to catch. Had to dodge back in to the trees a few times as it ran
past.

Blood Out of a Stone

Why oh why are GP surgeries so difficult to deal with? As part of the
preemployment checks for DAT I have to supply a copy of my vaccination
history signed by my doctor. Having first asked 13 days ago I'm still
waiting. Yesterday's response that only one person could deal with
this and they weren't in till today was astounding. If it isn't ready
this morning I'm taking it to the top.

First point to point of the year on Saturday. Updates later in the week.

The Dream is Alive

Have been offered, and accepted, a position as a Student Tech with Dorset Ambulance. All I'm waiting for now is the official contract. Then this blog becomes the blog of a Student Tech  in training.
